Highlights

Mentorship Talks and Local Pitch Competition

Throughout the day, digital nomads will share practical insights with emerging local entrepreneurs – from tips and hacks on growing an online business to strategies for scaling sustainably in the digital economy. These sessions create space for real knowledge transfer, equipping local founders with tools they can apply immediately.

In the afternoon, the energy shifts to the Pitch Competition, where local entrepreneurs take the stage to showcase their ideas or existing businesses. With a grant up for grabs, this is a chance to secure funding, visibility, and mentorship to help accelerate their growth and impact.

Showvasing the Best of SA

Throughout the day, you’ll discover authentic flavors, artistry, and traditions that bring people together in meaningful ways:

  • Local Cuisine Vendors – Taste Cape Town classics like Gatsby’s, Bunny Chow, Samoosas, Shisanyama, and Vetkoek.

  • Arts & Crafts Market – Support local artisans showcasing everything from handmade leather bags and beaded jewelry to paintings and traditional crafts.

  • African Dance Workshop – Step into the rhythm of Africa by joining an interactive dance session where nomads can learn directly from local performers.

Long Term Impact

Africa Expo is about building change that lasts beyond the event itself. From supporting education to ongoing mentorship and community initiatives, there are multiple ways to create impact that continues long after Nomad Week.

  • Sponsor a Student – For a small monthly amount, help cover tuition, uniforms, and school fees, making education accessible in a country where literacy challenges remain high.

  • Nomad Africa Scholarship – Provide students with free career coaching, digital skills training, and freelancing resources to prepare them for the future of work.

  • Give Back Locally – Get involved with grassroots initiatives such as Ladles of Love, Waves for Change, and other community projects that make a difference year-round.
